Boucherouite rugs from Morocco are handmade Berber carpets, made on the loom ,from recycled fabrics, such as old clothes and leftover materials. They are notable for their colorful, eclectic patterns and playful, free-form designs.They are unique Moroccan rugs and are often used in traditional Berber homes, called taddarts, which are built from earth. These rugs reflect the creativity and inventiveness of Moroccan craftswomen. Boucherouite comes from the Amazigh word ichrouidn, which means: pieces of cloths. Bouifilaine comes from ifilan: means pieces of thread.
